Automation of an artisanal distillery to optimize and standardize production. Grand Dérangement is an artisanal microdistillery located in Saint-Jacques that produces spirits from local grains. A pioneer in its field, it is the first microdistillery in Lanaudiere, and the first in Quebec to produce certified organic vodka and gin.
The project
The customer wants to automate all the equipment in its distillery to increase its productivity and ensure the consistency of its products.
The challenge
Centralize the control of all the equipment and manufacturing processes from one location.
The solution
- Design, manufacture and installation of a single centralized control panel to link temperature sensors and valves with programmable logic controllers.
- The implementation of an interface to track recipes, display alarms and order actions.
- The implementation of a remote access to the process interface.
The result
The client can now proactively manage its operations by monitoring the entire production chain and controlling equipment remotely. In addition, they benefit from greater productivity and a uniform finished product.
